The Melbourne investor evening will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday, 21 February 2020.

The evening will  begin with a two-hour presentation, followed by an exclusive cocktail reception with Hamish Douglass and key members of the Magellan Investment and Distribution Teams.

8:30pm: Evening concludes

There are two types of tickets available

  1. $75 - Reserved Seating: allocated seating in premium sections.
    If you are a large group, selecting this option will ensure that you can sit together. Individuals, couples and smaller groups are also welcome to select this option.
     
  2. $25 - General Admission:  unallocated seating in general admission sections.
    Please arrive early to get the best seats, as they will be available on a first come, first served basis on the night.

All tickets include the formal presentation and the cocktail reception.

All monies raised from the sale of tickets will go directly to the following charities: Rural Aid, Fly High Billie, The Reach Foundation in Australia and Sweet Louise in New Zealand.

Parking

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre has a car park located within the Exhibition Centre. Additionally, there are secure car parks located in and around South Wharf including, South Wharf Retail Car Park, Siddeley Street Carpark, Freeway Carpark and Montague Street Carpark.

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel and parking.

Getting to the MCEC

BY TRAM: Tram routes 96, 109 and 12 (Stop 124A Casino/MCEC) will all take you to our Clarendon Street entrance. Otherwise, tram routes 70, 75 and the City Circle (Stop D5) take you to Flinders Street. From there, it’s just a short walk up Clarendon Street until you reach us. BY TRAIN: The closest station is Southern Cross. Once you exit the station, you can catch the 96, 109 or 12 tram routes and arrive at MCEC in just a few stops. For train timetables or further trip planning, use Public Transport Victoria’s Journey Planner.

BY CAR: If you’re being dropped off at the Exhibition Centre, our Clarendon Street entrance is the closest entrance. If you’re getting a lift to the Convention Centre, the entrance near DFO is the closest drop off point. If you’re driving in, our Exhibition Centre car park can be accessed via Normanby Road. 

BY BUS: From Monday to Friday, bus route 237 goes via Southern Cross Station to Lorimer Street, which is roughly a five-minute walk to MCEC. For bus timetables or further trip planning, use Public Transport Victoria’s Journey Planner.

BY TAXI OR UBER: If you’re heading to the Exhibition Centre, ask your taxi or Uber driver to drop you off at MCEC’s Clarendon Street entrance. If you’re going to the Convention Centre, ask your driver to drop you off at Convention Centre Place, next to Pan Pacific Melbourne and DFO South Warf. We have two nearby taxi ranks – Crown, Clarendon Street and DFO, Convention Centre Place.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access - There are accessible toilets, ramps and lifts throughout our venue, including lift access from the car parks. If you’d like to hire a wheelchair from us, call our Customer Service team on +61 3 9235 8000 or email us at customerservice@mcec.com.au.

Vision impairment - Braille is provided on all room door signage and fixed directional signage throughout the venue. MCEC is guide dog friendly and welcomes any registered assistance dogs  into all areas of the building.

Accessibility Features

Security Screening and Bag Policy

Security screening is a condition of entry to this event. This will include bag inspections. You may not bring unsealed bottles into the venue.

The venue does not allow large bags into the Plenary Theatre but you will be permitted to take small bags and handbags in with you. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags. If you have to bring a large bag, you can store it at one of the cloakrooms. Cloakrooms close 30 minutes after the end of the event. The venue won’t hold your items overnight, so you must pick them up before the facility closes.

Where to stay

MCEC are the only centre in Australia to offer onsite accommodation, with the five-star Pan Pacific Melbourne and Novotel directly connected via private internal walkways. There’s also a huge range of accommodation just a short walk away – 6,000 rooms to be exact!
