Join us at one of our exclusive Investor Evenings in February and March 2020, to hear from Magellan’s Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, Hamish Douglass, as he provides an update on global markets. The presentations will be followed by a cocktail reception, where you will be able to meet Hamish, Brett Cairns (CEO) and senior members of the investment team and wider business.

Each event commences with a two-hour presentation, followed by an exclusive cocktail reception with Hamish Douglass and key members of the Magellan Investment and Distribution Teams.

There are two types of tickets available

  1. $75 - Reserved Seating: allocated seating in premium sections.
    If you are a large group, selecting this option will ensure that you can sit together. Individuals, couples and smaller groups are also welcome to select this option.
     
  2. $25 - General Admission:  unallocated seating in general admission sections.
    Please arrive early to get the best seats, as they will be available on a first come, first served basis on the night.

All tickets include the formal presentation and the cocktail reception.

All proceeds raised go to charity, no refunds available.

Frank Casarotti, General Manager - Distribution

Master of ceremonies

Frank Casarotti joined Magellan in March 2007. Prior to Magellan, Frank held a senior distribution management role at Colonial First State (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Commonwealth Bank), one of Australia’s largest and most successful investment and platform administration companies. Frank began his career at Australian Eagle Insurance Group in 1979, later joining Colonial First State (then known as First State Fund Managers) as its Queensland State Manager in 1992 and relocating to Sydney to take up the role of Head of Adviser Distribution in 2001. 

Frank is a passionate believer in quality financial planning advice, and is a regular speaker at industry and dealer group conferences in Australia and overseas.

Hamish Douglass, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer

Presenter

Hamish Douglass is Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Magellan Financial Group, and Lead Portfolio Manager of Magellan’s Global Equity strategies. 

He is a former member of the Australian Government’s Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), the Australian Government’s Financial Literacy Board, former Acting President of the Australian Government’s Takeovers Panel and former Co-Head of Global Banking at Deutsche Bank, Australasia. Hamish is a Director of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. He holds a BCom from the University of NSW.
