Magellan Global Fund – How to Invest
The Magellan Global Fund offers investors the opportunity to invest in a selection of the world’s most outstanding companies. The fund is a long only, benchmark-unaware global equity fund that will comprise a portfolio of 20 to 40 stocks.
First and foremost, we focus on minimising any risk of permanent capital loss. We align our interest with that of investors and as such have considerable investments in the funds we manage. Once we are satisfied that the risk of permanently losing invested capital is low we will then assess the ability of the company to deliver superior returns over the medium term.
We consider an outstanding company to be one which has a sustainable competitive advantage that enables it to earn returns on capital materially in excess of the business cost of capital for a sustained period of time.
